01
Problem Statement
Managing shared finances in Africa, especially within close circles, is often complex and inconvenient. Traditional banking solutions make it difficult to set up joint accounts, manage kids' accounts, or engage in seamless, fun financial activities. Sending and receiving money can be time-consuming, and there’s a lack of engaging, social payment tools for friends and family.

Solution
Nyra simplifies shared finances with easy joint accounts, seamless money transfers, bill payments, and fun financial games • all in one app

Competitive Analysis
I conducted a competitive analysis of existing products, including Venmo and CashApp, two major players in the global market.
Strengths:
Venmo: Large user base, seamless P2P transfers, social transaction features.
CashApp: Instant money transfers, easy-to-use interface, and strong brand recognition.
However, neither offers the localized, close-circle financial management and interactive features that Nyra provides, such as joint accounts, family wallets, and financial games.
Weaknesses
Venmo can feel limited for African users due to its U.S.-centric focus and lack of international access.
CashApp offers minimal support for joint or family accounts, leaving gaps for users looking for shared finances.
Both apps lack interactive, fun financial features like games, which can make them less appealing for younger, Gen Z users.
Finally, their customer support can be slow to respond, which frustrates users who encounter issues.

Result
I’ve created an experience that’s uniquely tailored for the African market. Users can easily send money, set up joint accounts, and enjoy financial games with their inner circle—all in a secure, fun, and easy-to-use app. By partnering with 9PSB, I’ve ensured fast, reliable transactions, positioning Nyra as a more social, engaging, and stress-free alternative to the competition. We’re already seeing excitement from early testers, and I’m confident Nyra is set to redefine how people in Africa handle their money.
